Jon Olson does have a point!

Jon Olson mentions that online marketing is not about being all fuzzy and nicey-nice.
He could be absolutely right! 

I have been a member of Click Track Profit for almost two years now.

During this time, I have learned a lot from Jon Olson and the site itself.
Things keep changing on the internet and I am learning how quickly this
can happen.

I joined a ClickTrackProfit team, and already it has been taken off the ranks!
So, now what? Join another team? Go solo and hope others will change?

I am not taking this personally, but I am puzzled about the change. I was hoping
to be able to raise the team level UP. So much for that idea. I am NOT a one-man
show. I know it takes a team to make things work smoothly on the internet. So either
I am not working as a team member, or I am supposed to be leading a team. 

In any event, I am still working to make something happen. Good or bad, I no longer
give a hoot whether any of you like how I do things or not. I did not join the site to please YOU, I joined the site to learn (supposedly) how the hell to market and make a profit!

Some honesty would be appreciated. I can take criticism as well as any other adult, so let's hear just what the hell is really going on! 

Every move I've made has been attacked and ridiculed. I am in need of some honesty and support. Not more "tough love" tactics from the Tim Tech crews.
 

Those Crazy Emails!

Good day to you.

I was just going through some of my emails. 
Being in this online business arena, I get a lot of emails.
Other marketers are always pitching their products, services,
or the next GREAT opportunity. 
It just kind of comes with this arena. When you sign up to
Safelists, Mailing services, List Builder sites, you exchange
your email for the use of the site. 

What really irks me about some emails is there is no way of
knowing what the product, service, or opportunity is! The
marketer does not give you a heads up in the email body 
they send! So many people do this...why?!! Usually it is a
trade-off for credits for the right to send an email from that
same service provider.


I know a lot of these marketers have me on their list now.
Yes, I click on those links to get credits so I can send my
own email. When I send an email using these services, 
I try to let the person know what it is I am promoting. 
What is the big "secrecy" thing on the internet? Why not
let an intelligent person decide for themselves whether 
they really want what you offer? You can do this easily
enough by giving pertinent information about what you
perceive they may need.

I suppose that you are finding out if these people may
actually need what you are pushing to them? Seems
like I remember being told to "target" your potential
contacts? Perhaps I am writing this more for myself
right now, but in any case, it is a relevant point.

Do any of the mailing services and safelist platforms
allow us to do this? Target our audience? Hmmm...
Now that is some food for thought. Who are the people
my message reaches when I use these services? Are
they just other marketers like myself? What if they do 
not need what I am offering? Then I am wasting my time
and credits I would guess. 

I may be off base with these thoughts as I am not using
these sites all that much. I have used some of them. I
am more curious than serious about this aspect of marketing
right now. Why should I pay for a service only to not be able
to see if my offers are even being looked at? Or are the 
majority of us just clicking thru to get those credits? Kind of
makes you wonder, doesn't it?

 When you buy a product, do you buy from someone or a brand you are not familiar with?
If you want to save money, do you go to WalMart or Fred Meyer? Why?

Is it location? Or is it because you know the lady or man that serves you there?
Is it because of product price? What does motivate you to buy where you shop?
Think about it. Even in the city there are smaller areas known as neighborhoods.
When you shop at the same location, you see the same people and get to know
some of them.

Doesn't it feel strange when you go to another location and don't know the layout
of the store, can't find your favorite product, and the service person is someone you
do not know?

It's the same marketing online. I would rather buy a product online from someone I
know the name of or at least recognize the face, wouldn't you?

When I was online several years ago, I was following certain people who were teaching
me about tools that I needed online. I was following some other people who were showing
me how to reach out on the internet with various types of promotions.

I was totally overwhelmed! I simply could not keep up with the information overload I
was experiencing. I had to stop after my laptop stopped working right.

I got back online a couple of years ago. Probably in Sept. of 2013 or so.
Amazing! I ran into the same people and the same sites I remembered from my previous
experience online. I started with the "simple system" to get grounded. I am still learning
from that "simple system."  No, I haven't become rich. That is a pipe dream and there
are no "magic" buttons to make you rich.

There is no such thing as filling out a form and doing nothing and magically becoming
a success. No, it takes a lot of work and lots of hours to keep traffic flowing, let alone
learning all the tools and how they work! This is not a joy ride where money just flows
to you from the get-go.

There are many things to learn and most of it is skill sets about how to market online and
what you need to have inside yourself in order to be successful.
You need to get your face and name out there on the internet so people start to see you
in as many places as you can reach. This is not easy and takes time. There are lots of
ways to do this and this blog holds only a few of them. Check out some of the sites I
thought enough of to mention here.

Quality is what people want. A way to solve their problems or a tool that will expedite
their process.

For now, simplicity is best for me. How about you?

Wow! I just sent an email out to the members of List Viral.

This may not be a big deal to most of you, but this was simply a super

easy task to do. 

I appreciate simplicity because there are just too many confusing and

frustrating things on the internet that cause people to give up too soon.

Persistence and patience are the qualities I am really having to develop

on a daily basis. It is starting to pay off.

Consistency is hard enough in the offline world, but in the online world it

Sometimes the manifestation is in a form not recognized immediately, but it is there nonetheless.

So, let's see what I can give you today.

Jon Olson of Click Track Profit

mentioned in his last Spreecast  the importance of continuing education.

Click Track Profit is an education that is free of charge until you can see the value of the site and want to upgrade. I am still learning with it and will continue to do so until I master the skills I need to market effectively online.

The Training TAB in the dashboard is the main focus of this education. There is a Video for each "Training Step". Again, I suggest you do these one at a time to make sure you understand it before moving on to the next video. 

I am presently in the process of building my first list, so I am working with a tool called an autoresponder. The autoresponder for the Click Track Profit affiliates is called Rocket Responder.

An autoresponder allows you to create an email series that goes to "your subscribers". This is all I know about that topic at the moment. 

A bit about "Spreecast". This is a video creation platform with the added feature of letting you have an audience for a "live" show. Unlike YouTube, which just allows you to create a video. I am a rank beginner in this arena also, so will let you know more as I learn.

How did I become an online marketer, you may be wondering. Well, I got my first laptop in 2000. I had learned something about the internet and all the promise it held during my college courses. I had a passion for Personal Development. I did a search for that topic and ran into a site called Success University. This is when I got my first sponsor. I am still a friend of this great man. He has an amazing story and will always be a star in my eyes.

As you know, or maybe not, you need to drive traffic to your site or ads. How do you do this? I learned in the past experience about these things called Traffic Exchanges. One of the first ones I came across I believe was
Easy Hits4U. There are a lot of Traffic Exchanges online, but you only need a few to get started and underway.

Okay, it's time to start your actual training. Go to the Training tab, and start by watching the videos provided in the Training Steps section. Just watch the video #1 first and please contact me if you have any confusion or questions.

My Consistency Sucks!

I am remiss in posting at my blog again! Bad me!

Look at that serious face!

Yes, that's me, mentally scolding myself for not posting in almost a month here at my blog.

I do take myself too seriously sometimes. I am back in any event. I have been blessed to be a Grandmother again. My youngest daughter had another baby girl! So forgive me if I was not very present during that last month or so. I will endeavor to lighten up and do the same.

As you probably know, or maybe you don't, I am a ClickTrackProfit affiliate. This means I get to learn from a very simple program how to correctly market online. I must admit, my progress has been slow, but nonetheless, I have stuck to the course for over a year now. That in itself is a huge accomplishment for me!

At the TELive shows; put on by Jon Olson and Patrick Griffin, we get news, updates, good tips-"nuggets" and have fun sharing questions and answers. There is a fun aspect about everything connected to Click Track Profit members. The members are always willing to help out the new members that have questions or problems. 

My suggestions to new members are these:

1. Fill out your profile information. If you have questions, contact your sponsor by using the 

Personal Messaging (PM) system within the profile section. See that little envelope with a red PM on it? Use that to connect with your sponsor.

You can upload your photo by using Gravatar. This is an online photo album for all your connected online sites. Don't have a Gravatar? You can get one here: Gravatar

To put in information for the "About Me" section, you need to go to Dashboard tab. Click on that tab, and then click on the Settings tab. Here you will enter your about me info (it's the section at the bottom.) There are instructions for the BBCode-the blue letters.

Wrinkles and Ironing

New Adjustments

I told you my opinion yesterday. Today was better and I am still working it.

I got a new computer last Monday. It had some minor irritations while setting up. Switching from a laptop to a desktop without a webcam was rather odd. I know, I know...I didn't make that many videos or change my profile pic or all the other nifty things I could have, should have, would have. Okay, so let's not shoot any unicorns. Let's not make unicorns cry, and let's try to appreciate each other just the way we are. 

If there is one thing I have learned in my 50+ years, it is I cannot change anyone else, project my expectations onto them, or hold resentments or put them on pedestals. I can only change myself, exercise my own improvement of whatever skills I possess, and ask questions. I ask more questions now than I did when I was younger simply because I am not as afraid. To ask a question or speak my mind as a younger person simply was asking to get shot...and I used to be a unicorn, sigh...

So today I have Nerd surfed at Click Track Profit and at Easy Hits4u, as well as Traffic G, and am working on Surf Skeleton as I write this. I made an improved video for Click Track Profit and a St. Patrick's themed splashpage for AdKreator.

Now, I am writing this blog entry. I would say I have had a pretty full day.

Last week I made a Valentine Click Track Profit splashpage and a Surf Skeleton splashpage using AdKreator. I surfed amid not feeling well and winter chill and was not satisfied with my lack of energy by week's end.  

I had received news that my Uncle Leonard had passed. A couple of weeks before that, I had received news that my favorite cousin had passed. I stayed the course and kept at my online endeavors. I participated amid my grief, my homelife, and that damn winter chill! I wasn't going outdoors unless I absolutely had to and then, I would drag my feet.

Ah yes, the #CTPis3 Badge Hunt and Celebration! I got some badges, and then I got wandering to some new sites that I needed to join to collect keys or badges, and dang it! That's when I started to get confused. I just do not know how I am supposed to remember every site I sign into in a day, and come back to surf them all. Do you? 

Stay focused, be consistent, use the tools, upgrade as you can, make splashes, banners, create emails for a list and a bonus to make it worthwhile for the subscription, get yourself out there with branding and videos, track your sites to see which ones are bringing in results (conversions), make friends, treat your referrals well so they stay, and all the other things I probably have forgotten by now. Whew! If that is not enough to make one's head spin, then I have to choose something out of all this to be an expert at. Who am I, supernerd?!

Oh never mnd, let's just have fun while we work, shall we?

 

Very Interesting, but I Am So Confused!

Confusion Sucks!

Hey there! Thanks for reading this blog post. 

I am working with Click Track Profit and getting what seem to be very mixed messages.

Go slow and take your time, but hurry up and do as I tell you, like NOW!

Oh and hurry up and buy every special we have available or else!

You are responsible for your own actions and business building everyday,

so do it my way.

 

Now, I may not be the fastest, the smartest, or the most organized "nerd" on the block, but I am not here to compete with you, to mess up your links, or do any of the other underhanded, sneaky, (I'll get you for that) type of activity that seems to be occurring.

When I applaud someone's work it is not because I am kissing their butt, or giving out insincerity. If I comment on your work, it is because I really do think it is worth a comment. I am not trying to win your friendship, your likes, or your approval. I am not in need of it. I have been a loner most of my life. I work at my own pace, and if I make mistakes, I own up to them.

Jealousy be damned! I am so sick of hearing about others' greatness! Hey! We all need to be appreciated for what we do, not who we are, or who we are attached to. I can stand on my own and be okay. We all need to be supported sometimes, and challenged at other times. I know a few "cuties" I would like to knock on their butts, but that is just my feeling about them and it points to a problem within myself. I am not them, nor do I need to be. 

I am a 56 year old woman who is trying to learn to make a go of this new territory of internet marketing. I suit up and show up. I do the daily surf at the sites recommended. I have made splash pages and videos. I am writing this blog. I have done the PTC sites...granted not very consistently, but hey, maybe they are not my thing. I sure haven't made wise investments with my money apparently, as I am still having more month at the end of my money than the other way around. I have made a few bucks here and there, and I am not complaining. It is progress, not the instant success that so many are looking for that is in my best interest right now.

I participate in the chats and try to assist people who are asking for help. I welcome new people that join, and ask for a friend connection. I give away badges that are offered, and I say thank you to those that gift them to me. I know this isn't a one-way street, and I am not an island unto myself. I ask for help, and do not have an "I know it all" attitude. I have learned a lot from my fellow "nerds" and I need to study and learn more. I am willing to do this. I know Rome wasn't built in a day, nor was TimTech. 

I am using Click Track Profit as my gateway because it is the most "sensible" site I have ever come across. If I go galavanting across the internet to some outdated sites or what have you, then that is my exploration. It has nothing to do with TimTech or Click Track Profit. Perhaps it has to do with my curiosity or just plain boredom at clicking at the same sites everyday. Whatever, it does not mean I am leaving or intend to leave. I have checked out some sites just because they look pretty, so shoot that unicorn and let's get out of this one-upmanship B.S.!

Why Do People Want To Cheat Systems?

This action I've witnessed on the internet has always baffled me.

What can you gain except a bad reputation, possible legal actions, and the loss of what you were hoping to gain? The money and friends you acquired by being greedy and stupid are quickly lost this way. Cheating systems is Not the answer you need. 

I don't know, maybe you need some serious mental health help. Or some type of support. This behavior is simply  not acceptable and will eventually catch you with your pants down! There are too many people who are honestly and ethically trying to make a living online to put up with the likes of You very long.

Most of the sites I am using are from people I know, like and trust to some degree. A business relationship has no room for shady and underhanded maneuvers. Greed and dishonesty simply destroy and are never beneficial. It may be in the short term, but in the end you lose. So why? I simply do not understand.

I keep using this site because they have a three year track record and there are hundreds of new members joining everyday.

Having a heck of a start to this new year!

Just Good Traffic

Steve Ayling's Traffic Exchange

I am fairly new to this traffic exchange, but already I can see it is a good one.
There are rewards and bonuses to be had for surfing. There is a game you can earn more from. I see it is an extension of Commando Surf and that there is a weekly loyalty draw. 

This site is smooth to surf, the chat is available to surfers, and the owner is known in the te world. Looks like the affiliate section has a nice email to send out, there are tweets and facebook sends available, as well as splash pages you can personalize to brand yourself with along with regular splash pages.

There are some really nice banners with or without your name and picture on them.


Looks like Steve has a nice blog going as well. SteveAyling.com can give you more information about the site.


I just like to keep writing about the sites I come across that I believe may be worth trying out for yourself. So check it out and let me know what you think.

Blogging is "bleh"?

Blogging Is Creativity!

I love blogging! I can write about whatever I like.

I can post whatever I like and I can express what I am feeling whenever I like!

To me there is nothing that gives me that "Saturday night feeling" like my fingers pressing the keys on my keyboard. 

Ever since I was small, it is what I was fascinated by: the sound of a typewriter or even an adding machine. I loved looking at the old journals and ledger books. Graph paper or check books that accountants used all stirred up a feeling of "importance" in me.

I had no idea what these documents were, but I wanted to know.

I wanted to smell them and write on them at a wooden desk with a lamp.

So, of course I like blogging. It stands to reason doesn't it? I was always good at writing and practiced to make very neat letters, either printed or in cursive. I had to use "certain" pens. There was a certain feeling that some pens had that a stik bic just didn't have.

Was it an artistic bent? I do not know, but I liked to use colored pencils and felt tip markers to draw with. I would practice drawing with a regular pencil also. I liked to draw horses. I drew a nice squirrel once. 

I learned more when I had to keep a journal for school. I still have that journal somewhere. I thought I had lost it, but then I found it one day and man was I glad! 

So writing and drawing...yeah, I guess those are artistic qualities, but I do not consider myself truly creative. There seems to be  void in that area. Lack of use and misuse of that desire and drive got substituted with some unhealthy habits for many years. Writing is the part that did not get misplaced. I used it in school and it is still with me to enjoy as I wish.

Poetry is part of this and so are short stories. I can and have written research papers, but as of late, I am not reading the way I used to. The ideas seem to come as a result of reading. I will have to carve out more time to read. Writing is what I enjoy though, so I have a blog. Bleh!

10 Traffic Exchange Tips

Promoting On Traffic Exchanges The Right Way

I would like to give you 10 tips to use traffic exchanges effectively.

• Always use a splash page. This is a page that has the minimum of needed information on it and it does not scroll. An attention grabbing headline, the main benefits of the product, service, etc., and a definite clear call to action are needed. To the point, clear and concise reasons that allow your viewer to decide quickly if they want what you are offering.  

• Your picture, your name and a way to contact you for further information are always great ways to brand yourself and get that know, like, trust factor going. People want to know who they are buying from and how to contact you in order to ask questions, or if there is a problem.

• Include a form on your page if you want to create your own list, but have a quality product in the form of a free ebook or newsletter or other gift in exchange for that precious email. Treat that email you get with respect with a thank you page that offers your exchange gift. 

• Create your own pages to make yourself stand out. The pages that everyone else is using will not get as good a result and people will not see the page you are promoting. That is why it is important to brand your pages with your name and picture, so people get to recognize You. I use AdKreator to create some of my own pages. This software is available for a monthly subscription that is affordable. Some traffic exchanges also have pages you can add your name and picture to, along with a banner of your own choice.  

• Use a tracker to keep statistics on how much traffic your pages are recieving and where that traffic is coming from. The tracker you choose depends on pricing and if you want a subscription software to use or if you want software you install on your server. There are trackers that tell you how many clicks you get, where the traffic is coming from, unique clicks, return visitors, or which clicks resulted in sales or sign ups (conversions).

• Who is your audience in the traffic exchanges and what do they need? What solutions can you offer them? Traffic exchange users want more traffic and tools to help them accomplish their goal-referrals and sales! Put yourself in their shoes and come up with amazing products and services you would like to see offered that would help you achieve your goals. Thus the need to stand out and offer amazing quality items.

• Use the traffic exchanges with chat to introduce yourself to others. Get to know others. Find out what their interests are, what they see as problems and offer help. Perhaps your product or service is what they need. Do not put your link in the chat!! Use skype, a personal message system, a forum, twitter, or facebook to introduce them to your product or service. Most marketers have these social portals available to use. Click on their profile picture in the chat and see where it leads. Usually you can find a place to send a personal message from there. If not, ask them how to contact them outside of the chat. 

• Learn to use video. I know, this is difficult for a lot of us. Video really does capture attention quicker. It shows that you are a real person and can be more emotionally triggering than a static page with your picture and name on it. Enthusiasm and fun are always good in a video. It takes a lot of practice, but hey you can always delete what you do not like and try again till you get it the way you want it. There are some pages designed for video in some traffic exchanges, and if you create one with AdKreator, you can use the video code on the page you create! 

• Use FireFox or a browser created specifically for tabbed browsing. This will make surfing multiple sites easier and may even increase your credits and speed. TE Browser comes with video instructions and is downloadable. It is a highly recommended product, so see if it works for you.

• Be consistent with your surfing and do it daily. Keep track of your credits with a tool like TE Command Post if you like. Keep it simple and upgrade in a few of your favorite surfing sites. This is for your credits and for your referrals' benefit. To get the most from your surfing efforts and theirs it is win win action step to be upgraded and guide them to get upgraded as well.
